WHAT'S ANOTHER WORD FOR THESAURUS?

Anyone who does any writing on the Amiga should take a close look at Softwood's new Electric Thesaurus ($49.95), a handy reference tool that includes over 500,000 synonyms.

When you look up a word in Electric Thesaurus, the program not only lists synonyms, but also gives concise definitions and parts of speech for each synonym. Synonyms are listed in order by frequency of use in the English language.

Electric Thesaurus has an easy-to-use hypertext interface. Just click on any word on the screen and select the Find gadget. The program supports both ARexx and the Amiga clipboard, so you can integrate it with just about any text processor.

Softwood says the program will run on a 512K, single-floppy 500 but recommends using it with a hard drive for speed. We found it to be reasonably fast on a 1MB, dual-floppy 500 when using a disk-cache program. The program is fully AmigaDOS 2.0 compatible.

For more information, contact Softwood, P.O. Box 51209, Phoenix, Arizona 85076; (602) 431-9151.
