TOASTER RUMOR OF THE MONTH

The Amiga has been gaining quite a reputation in video circles lately, particularly since NewTek made such a splash at the National Association of Broadcasters convention with the Video Toaster. But could there be any truth to the rumor that Panasonic is working on an Amiga-related video product? Although I'm usually skeptical of such stories, it's interesting to note that at the Video Expo in Chicago, NewTek was demonstrating the Toaster at the Panasonic booth. When questioned about the connection, NewTek representatives would only say, "Panasonic likes the Toaster. We don't know why." Maybe Panasonic just wanted to cheese off its archrival, Proctor Silex.
